The Bosch IDS Premium Air Handler pairs with the IDS Light outdoor condensing unit to form the IDS Plus (R-454B version) or matches with the IDS Premium Connected (R-454B version), depending on the desired efficiency level. Both systems come equipped with A2L refrigerant R-454B, meeting low-global warming potential (Low-GWP) requirements.

Innovative Features
The BIVA20 comes equipped with many advanced features and technologies. These include; foil-faced insulation on the inner walls, five-stage ECM Constant Torque fan motor for energy savings and humidity control, top-notch all-aluminum air coil, corrosion-resistant composite primary drain pan, secondary drain pan for flexible applications, and more.
Demand Response Feature
On extremely hot or frigid days, the load on the electrical grid may become too high, potentially causing blackouts. The demand response feature allows utilities (with the homeowner’s permission) to manage this intelligently. Utilities can predict when there will be peak demand on the grid and can remotely send a signal to the heat pump to heat or cool the space before or after this peak period of usage.
